v26.2.9: Stay Connected, Even in Your Pocket

Braid Team
Braid Team

Braid Mobile gets friendlier this release. Leave the app in your pocket for a while and it now wakes up and reconnects on its own, no more staring at a frozen screen. You'll also get a nudge when your agent needs you even if the app is closed, plus a plain terminal tab for when you just want a quick shell.

Added

  • Get notified, even when the app is closed - Braid Mobile can now ping you when an agent finishes or needs your attention, even if the app isn't open. Want to keep things quiet? There's a separate toggle to turn these off while still getting alerts when the app is open.
  • A plain terminal tab - Sometimes you just want a shell. The new-tab menu now lets you open a simple terminal with no agent attached.

Improved

  • Reconnects on its own - Come back to the app after a while and it quietly reconnects, showing a "connecting" screen instead of getting stuck. Your home screen also shows which worktree each session belongs to, and Settings now shows your app version.
  • Up-to-date usage numbers - Pull to refresh and your Claude and Codex usage actually updates now.

Fixed

  • Cleaner notifications - Removing a device now fully disconnects it, so you won't keep getting alerts for phones or desktops you've already let go.
