v26.2.8: iPad Support & Mobile Companion Polish

This release rounds out the mobile companion. Braid Mobile now feels at home on iPad, the home screen got a cleaner redesign, and a round of hardening across pairing, transport, and terminal sizing makes the desktop connection steadier. We also fixed a packaging issue so desktop builds stay lean.

Added​

  • iPad support - Braid Mobile now adapts to the larger iPad canvas, including a native corner-inset module that keeps content clear of the iPadOS window controls. The home screen was redesigned for a cleaner, denser overview of your paired desktop and active sessions.

Improved​

  • Mobile companion hardening - A broad pass across the companion: more resilient transport, steadier terminal sizing on reconnect, a refined driver overlay, and a smoother pairing flow with clearer states when a device connects or drops.
  • Terminal mobile-fit - Terminals restore their fitted dimensions correctly when you reattach from a phone or iPad, so output isn't clipped or mis-sized after the app returns from the background.

Fixed​

  • Leaner desktop builds - The desktop packager no longer bundles the mobile companion's source and dependencies into the macOS app, trimming the build and fixing a packaging failure on universal native binaries.
