Braid's macOS auto-updater now runs on Electron's own update machinery instead of a third-party library. Updates are more reliable, and Braid always asks before installing - no surprise background swaps.

Braid now speaks Fable 5, Anthropic's newest and most capable model - pick it from the model selector and go. This release also makes the Tasks panel feel alive: PR details quietly refresh in the background, review threads support nested replies, and the file tree finally remembers which folders you had open.

This release brings a full GitHub Tasks panel right into Braid: browse PRs and issues across all your repos, read the conversation, scan the checks, page through changed files with inline diffs, and approve or request changes without ever leaving the app.

Braid Mobile gets friendlier this release. Leave the app in your pocket for a while and it now wakes up and reconnects on its own, no more staring at a frozen screen. You'll also get a nudge when your agent needs you even if the app is closed, plus a plain terminal tab for when you just want a quick shell.

You can also preview HTML files right in the editor, and we've laid the first runtime groundwork for Linux. Under the hood, a new resource-level refresh system keeps your files, PR status, and checks fresher with less redundant fetching.

This one's packed. You can now reply to PR review comments without ever leaving Braid, filter and sort your sidebar project list in ways that actually make sense for multi-worktree workflows, and see your Claude/Codex usage at a glance with a new persistent status bar. We also gave the onboarding flow a proper redesign, polished up the search panel, and squashed a long-standing terminal resize bug.

We're introducing the foundation for our upcoming mobile companion app! This release includes a new companion server with end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) pairing so you can securely control your terminal from your phone. Additionally, we've refined our webview permissions so embedded apps work seamlessly without annoying dialogs.
