v26.2.7: Braid Mobile - Pair Your Phone to Your Desktop

Braid now has a mobile companion. Pair your phone to your desktop over your local network and keep an eye on your agent sessions from anywhere in the house - watch live terminals, check PR status, and manage worktrees without sitting at your desk. Pairing is end-to-end encrypted and discovery happens entirely on your LAN, so nothing about your sessions leaves your network.

  • Braid Mobile companion app - A new mobile app pairs to your desktop Braid over your local network. Scan a QR code to establish an end-to-end encrypted connection, then monitor and drive your agent sessions from your phone. Devices are discovered automatically on your LAN via mDNS - no manual IP entry, no cloud relay.
  • Desktop mobile server - The desktop app now runs an in-process companion server that handles secure pairing (public-key exchange with E2E encryption), device discovery, and a JSON-RPC bridge so paired devices can stream session state in real time. Paired devices are also exposed to your agent as an MCP tool.
  • Live terminals on mobile - Attach to a worktree's terminal from your phone and watch output stream live, with terminal sizing that adapts to the device.
  • Mobile diagnostics, worktree management & PR status - Browse your projects and worktrees, check pull-request status and CI checks, and run diagnostics from the companion app to confirm the connection to your desktop is healthy.

  • Live-terminal hardening - Reconnect handling, sizing, and snapshot delivery were tightened so terminals stay responsive across network blips and device sleep.
